The
weather was a very nice 70 degrees today. We gave Hope
and her family their gifts and they were thrilled to
receive them.
We
continue to make good progress and are almost finished
with the roof and the siding. The rough HVAC,
electrical, and plumbing are 80 % complete.

The team of
about 35 people began work at 7:30 and continued until
5:30. The 53’ semi-trailer with the materials was
unloaded by 8:00 am. The team began putting up the
trusses around 2:00. At 4:00 the Inspector arrived and
approved everything for the rest of the week.
The
temperature is a nice 65 degrees and sunny. There are a
lot of little black gnats which are very annoying.
We had a
fine dinner of steak, potatoes, & shrimp cocktail!

The Camp,
Dan Dutcher writes:
The camp site was ˝ mile from the
construction site. We had 4 RVS that slept 18 plus
provided the kitchens for feeding the 35 people. The
camp site provided the eating area for the group and a
camp fire at night to socialize around.

Departure for Galliano,
Dan Dutcher writes:
Friday morning February 16th in 8
degree temperatures, the 53’ trailer was loaded at the
Hartville Hardware. The complete house except for roof
trusses and the drywall were on the truck. The load
weighted around 38,000 lbs.
Haas Door Company provided the semi and Don and Vi
Nofziger gave of their time to drive the truck. They
left Hartville Friday at noon and arrived at the camp
site around 3:00 Sunday afternoon.
The truck was unloaded at the camp site and then
supplies were loaded on a smaller trailer and taken the
˝ mile to the construction site. Jambon’s (owner of the
camping area) provided the use of a fork lift to unload
the semi.
